Welcome
I'm Armen, but when I step into the spotlight,
I transform into Rmén.
My life in music started in Yerevan when I was eight. I began as a soloist with the Mankunq Children’s Choir, singing the Masses of Komitas and Yekmalian in places like the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin and St. Gregory the Illuminator.
Those years were a serious introduction to what a voice can do. That foundation eventually led me from those traditional spaces into the public eye — performing on national TV and radio, theater stages, and various musical shows.
Today, as an indie artist, I bring all of these experiences together. I am deeply involved in every layer of my music: I write my own songs and lyrics, handle the production and co-production, and create my own arrangements. My music and my mentorship are a direct reflection of that lifelong discipline and the creative independence I’ve built along the way.
Music isn't just a career —
it's how I document my life.
In 2019, I moved to the U.S. to attend Berklee College of Music, where I graduated summa cum laude with a focus on Voice Performance and Recording & Production. My time at Berklee was defined by intense discipline; I was a seven-time Dean’s List student and received the Voice Department Outstanding Achievement Award in both 2023 and 2024. During my studies, I was also a student at the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice, which further shaped my perspective on music and equity. One of the most defining moments of my training was being coached by the Grammy-winning artist Ledisi, whose mentorship helped me bridge the gap between technical skill and world-class performance.
Beyond the stage, I have spent over 12 years as a Strategic HR and Organizational Development leader. I have directed people operations for international companies, managed global talent strategies, and led culture transformations during major mergers. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology, building on my Master’s degree in the same field. I believe that understanding the human mind is just as essential as understanding the human voice.
Today, as an indie artist, I am the architect of my own sound. I write my own lyrics, handle vocal arranging, and lead the production process in the studio. I continue to perform regularly, from my sold-out solo concerts to various live jazz and contemporary performances. Because of this dual background, I am in a unique position to offer more than just vocal training. By integrating my professional music education with my leadership experience and ongoing Ph.D. research, I offer a diverse range of coaching programs. From technical Voice Coaching to high-level Career and Life Coaching, you can choose the path that best supports your own professional and personal callings.
